About the Founder: Sangeet Satpathy

Sangeet Satpathy is a senior at Henry M. Gunn High School.  He founded STEMStart! in his freshman year of high school. STEMStart! began as an Eagle project for Boy Scouts of America, but has continued beyond. He is very passionate about this initiative, which has empowered participants to identify passions in STEM, foster scientific thinking, nurture intellectual curiosity and shed light on potential specialized careers.

STEMStart! recently won the 2024 Glenn A. and Melinda W. Adams Eagle Scout Service Project of the Year Award, being recognized as valuable community service of an exceptional nature.

Outside of STEMStart!, Sangeet is an aspiring electrical engineer. In his free time, he enjoys tinkering and inventing, hiking, camping, kayaking, paddle-boarding, and cooking.
