STEMStart!

For many kids, learning about science can seem daunting or uninteresting. There are too many branches of sciences, more theory than practical application, and limited exposure to experts. STEMStart! aims to break this barrier by showing kids cool experiments to not only enrich their knowledge, but to also instill curiosity and scientific thinking.

Specifically, we bring about quality STEM education to youth in our community by taking on the following responsibilities

Conducting market research on interesting and less mainstream STEM applications, and finding corresponding STEM education organizations

Making the workshops more accessible and inclusive by seeking out communities of diverse demographics, including those under-represented in STEM, as workshop participants
